A manufacturing dashboard is a visual interface that summarizes manufacturing data as metrics, status indicators, charts, or alerts. It commonly shows production, quality, equipment, inventory, and schedule information in a format intended for operational monitoring and decision support.
Manufacturing dashboards are used in shop floor systems, MES, SCADA, ERP, quality systems, and business intelligence tools. Typical measures include throughput, work in process, downtime, scrap, first-pass yield, OEE, nonconformance trends, and schedule adherence. Data may be near real time, periodic, or historical depending on the source systems and integration design.
A dashboard is not the same as the underlying control system or execution workflow. It may expose alerts, drill-down views, or links to records, but it does not by itself prove process control, data integrity, or compliance. It should also be distinguished from a static report, which is usually generated for a specific time period rather than used as an ongoing operational view.
